I Think I See the End of the Tunnel!

And this time, I don't think it's a train!

Oh my stars. Saturday was one of the worst days of my life. In bed all day, writhing in pain and agony. Either food poisoning (but no one else who ate the same as me got sick) or some horrifying 24 hour intestinal bug. Talk about pain. Oh my WORD am I glad that's over. I've been in bed sick more in the last 2 weeks than I have since I've been out of the hospital in 2000.

I'm FINALLY feeling more normal today...(yes, I know, har har, I've never really been normal!)
Woke up with a migraine, but that's easing up, and I'm still a bit weak, but so so so much better. Thank the Lord!!!

I've been really getting into politics lately. Which kind of cracks me up because I hate politicians. It's just such a shame when you really look at the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence and compare it to where we are as a country. It's shocking. The power the government has is crazy! It's not supposed to be that way!! Since when does the President of a supposedly free, capitalist, free-market society insist the CEO of GM get fired in order to continue supporting the corporation? Since when did the government start supporting private corporations at all??? I'm afraid we're skipping the road to socialism and heading down the crooked, forked path of communism. Shocking, but not that far off, if you're really paying attention.

I know there are a lot of things out there that demand our time and energy, but I am prevailing upon everyone who reads this and values their freedom to stand up and be heard. There are Tea Parties (taxed enough already) going on all over the country, where you can peacefully make your voice heard. We are a governemnt BY the people FOR the people. They work for US, we don't work for them. That's the way it's SUPPOSED to be.

"We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness. How have we gotten so far off track? And more importantly, what are we going to do about it?

Dear Kerri,
Oh my...you have gone through so much! I totally believe you are coming through a stronger woman of God as a result of how you seek Him! ~No..it's not fun...but it IS worth it all - and worth it all only in the sense that the Lord makes His good/His Glory come out of the tough things through which we've traveled. Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted. Are we not comforted by the Lord, Himself, when we travel through the Valley of the Shadow of Death which kills the flesh...which kills the things which of not of Him. Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness for they shall be filled. Don't we hunger and thirst for Him when He causes us to walk in the desert?...Does He not cause the water to flow from THE ROCK at just the time when we think we simply cannot take one more foot forward!?...Does He not bring His resurrection life to that which looks hopeless and despairing...for He promises that the Valley of Achor shall be a door of Hope. Kerri, this is Who I see when I read your blog. Jesus Christ..the King of Kings and Lord of Lords....Shine, Jesus, Shine!
~As for our country...yes, same blog themes today...the road down which our country has traveled is the road to destruction. ~The entitlement mentality of our nation is truly breaking our backs. God's Word says that if a man does not work, he doesn't eat.
Now, I think this pertains to those who are FULLY CAPABLE of working, and yet have utilized various organizations to benefit their irresponsible lifestyle.
John Kennedy stated, "Ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country."
...How quickly we forget.
Just this past weekend it was reported on the local news that a car company closed in Wayland..and the employees returned to beat up their former boss, because they lost their job!
~Sadly, the church has also taken up the "God, You owe me" mentality in all of the prosperity doctrine.
I will close with this...
"Our Father, Who art in Heaven, hallowed (revered) be Thy Name. Thy Kingdom come...Thy will be done...on earth, as it is in Heaven."
...Who's will?...

Hey there girlfriend, I'm glad you're beginning to see the light at the end of the tunnel. I pray God will continue to strengthen you.

You raise some really good questions that I don't believe have really easy answers. Isn't that always the way? All I know to say is, Help us Lord!
